Hey guys..I need a furl pump for my 1941 plymouth coupe.I just wanted to get your opinion if I should rebuild mine or try and locate a new one..I still have the original 218 6 and my fuel pump went out.Its leaking really bad and I am sure the diaphragm went bad..Is there a place I can order a new one? Thanks

Sweet car, I have two used ones if you need a core. I converted to a electric rotary pump on mine.

Make sure that a kit or rebuilt one will stand up to the modern fuels An NOS kit or pump may not have a diaphragm that will stand up to the modern ethanol blends not available when the parts were made.

Make sure you stake the pin/dowel in the arm.....they tend to back out after being rebuilt.:)

Do the later Plymouth / Dodge 6 cyl fuel pumps fit, and work ? Those engines appear to be relatively "unchanged', right up to 1959. Just a thought......
