I am going to be swapping out the 216 in favor for a '55 235 in my 51 sedan. I will be running a multi carb intake and wont be able to mount my oil canister in the stock location. I am trying to get ideas on where to put it. Thanks all.

Amsoil byp*** filter. Better than 98% efficiency at 2 microns.

    Thanks, Tugmaster.

I have yet to put many miles on it.
Build pics are in the 216 Link in my signature (Mo's build #I).

That's an Amsoil byp*** filter head which has a metering plug in it with a 1/16" hole. The mount is a pc. of keystock welded to a pc. of angle iron with holes to mate up to the oil pan. I've got a couple inches to spare between the filter and axle but it may not fit there in a car.

    And 'Mo....that's a sweet mill.

This is a repop Hildebrandt housing with a spin on filter inside. I know there are bee hive type housings also.

If you haven't already, check out California Bill's "Chevrolet/GMC Speed Manual" (1954), available in reprint. IT"S THE WORD!
