Transport contacts required to ship a differential

  1. Hi guys i have a very good mate Jerry who lives in Texas, He needs to ship a differential from Belleview Florida to Dallas Texas. Can someone help with contact details of a reliable transport company that they may have used. Thanks Terry

  8. If it is a third member[carrier] and not a complete housing-clean it up=wrap it in layers of plastic padding.
    I did a 9" chunk complete-wrapped a rope around it twice for a "handle"-taped the F! out of it-
    then shipped it UPS/or Fed Ex
    It was actually over their limit by 20lb but the thing got there....

    I have wire-tied them into old metal milk crates and shipped them VIA FedEx several times. Jay

    Freight dock to freight dock saves quite a bit of money in most cases.
    If it's just the third member he could build a small wood box to put it in with a couple of good handholds for people to pick it up with.

    If it's the whole axle you can probably find an odd size pallet that either fits the axle or can be cut down to fit and then strap the axle to the pallet. One local freight company sets out all of their "odd size" or broken pallets for people to pick up for firewood and you see pallets in their pile that would work.

    You/he might also talk to the local freight office to see if they have connections on the other end and can work a deal.
