I can't reply to a recent posts. I goofed up on a boat/trailer pickup I posted to help offset somebody's crosscountry expenses. My mistake was made obvious to me by an administrator. Was I blackballed as a result? Thanks. JDB

    No, you weren't "blackballed"

Your post was deleted because it was off topic.

The HAMB is a car site - not a boat site.

    Thanks,

Thanks for the note. I can't seem to be able to reply to an altogether different message. That's my dilemma. I understand why my boat pickup post was deleted...no problem...That was my uneducated foul.

I tried to reply to another ad/post and I got the system generated message that I could not reply due to one of two reasons....one of which stated something to the effect of administrator limitations....the other I can't remember. Thanks for the help.

From what I recall we can't reply directly to FOR SALE posts. You must check the sellers profile and send a reply via email or message here.
I may be wrong. But when I was new here I commented on a for sale item and got some sort of message not to do it.
You will note, you did reply here. Good luck.

  5. Model T1 is correct, ya can't reply to the cl***ifieds except by PM or email. I think that there is a "sticky" at the top of the cl***ified section that covers it...

My bad, it's down at the bottom...

Maybe that answers my question also. But what I had found was a guy selling some valve covers and another member said he would take them and then the seller came back and said sold to him.

This post was last years and I just wanted to ask a question to both of them at the same time. I also have the some ones. But it would not let me. So I guessed the post was to old to respond but now if I understand correct and I wanted some info from them I could PM with out a problem. Am I correct?

I will go back and read the info on posting just to make sure I get it right and don't have any trouble I hope and get my post in the right place.
    Thanks

    ALL cl***ified ads - you can't post a reply.

You send a private message to the buyer by clicking on the posters name and a drop down list will have "send a private message to ".........

  9. You cannot reply to cl***ads, if that is what you are saying. you must communicate via PM. I am not an administrater but I have read that in the read this stuff that is pinned to the top of the page.

Fid your ad, then click on the poster's screen anem then select to send them a PM in the drop down.
