OK, I hafta brag! After nearly a week of being in-and-out of the hospital, the prettiest little girl in the whole world (OK, I'm biased...no offense) was born Saturday morning. Baby and Mama are doing great, but baby's older brother has a lot of adjusting to do!

Aren't we forgetting something here? Does the little cutie have a name or are you already taking evasive action against future suitors?

Way to go. Little girls are way cool. I wouldn't trade mine for 10 boys. Just watch out when they hit they turn teenage.

You have every reason to brag. Congratulations!!! Glad to hear baby and Mama are doing great. One thing we did to help our son adjust to his new little sister was we had a cake for him to "celebrate" that he was now a BIG brother. He was four when his sister was born and it made him feel special even though there was now his new little sister getting a lot of attention. It helped. They are now 28 and 24 and they still love each other. My wife had made the cake ahead of time; but I'm sure the grocery store bakery will take one of theirs and decorate it for you with something appropriate on top. Enjoy them while they are little, they grow up fast. My daughter just got her first real job after graduating college. But she is still Daddy's "little" girl. Yes, she still wraps me around her little finger.

Well, actually... sorta. But since we're friends here, her name is Marleigh Anna.

Man, what a great idea! We have been trying to include my 4-yr-old son in things, but we might just take that suggestion!

    Thanks everybody!!!

  24. Congratulations to you and Mom. I trust everyone is doing well. Best wishes to your whole family.

Now when the boys come around you have to remember this phrase. Look 'em square in the eye and tell 'em, "I got no problem going back to prison. What time will my daughter be home?"

Again, congrats and don't let the older brother fall between the cracks of sleep deprivation and stinky diapers. When my second came along, big Bro was quite miffed and feeling left out. We let him feed his little brother as much as we could, help give him baths and such so he felt like one of the team. We could never get him up in the middle of the night to change a smelly one however.
