I need to shout out. My wife is broke down about 40 miles West of Columbia, Missouri in a borrowed truck. From the phone call, it sounds like an alternator. Is there anyone around there that could possibly help? PM me. Thanks, r
if she is near, were I think she is Call Doug at Finishline auto repair His shop is near the Aero Rock exit and I-70 he can help Im sure. wish I had the phone # I see if I can find it or you can call INFO for the no@.
I found it : Finishline collision 19800 Z Hwy Blackwater, mo 660-846-2505 and ask for doug tell him Bud From NAPA told you to call.
At this point, I don't know any more info. I just got a call a couple of hours ago and now I can't get her to pick up the phone (battery died?). I called my daughter in Columbia, but no answer there either. The only info I got was that she thought she was about 40 miles west of Columbia. r
anybody found out anything? i am at exit 89 on 1-70. finishline auto is here at exit 89. east bound side. other places are chases auto at exit 98 .
if she call back get all the info you can, mile marker, make of truck, color, license no, so a toe truck can fine her.
Just got a hold of my oldest daughter in Columbia. She said that my wife was able to get a hold of Atch and that he was going to try and take a battery out to her to see if that would work. Of course when I call my wife or the daughter that is with her, the line goes straight into voice mail. r
a battery might not have enough life to make it all the way to kington having to use your lights, best bet would be eather see doug or get back to boonville but the shops are closed now, till morning.
Update! Atch got her limping with another battery. He thinks it's just running on battery power and they are trying to get it into Columbia that way. Pray that the battery hold out! Thanks guys. Anyone know of a reputable shop in Columbia that might be able to take a look at this tomorrow? r
A fellow racer has a shop there Called Schrader Automotive on Rangeline you can give him a call, I have his cell 1-573-230-7370 you prob could talk to him now.
I'm positive they will stay at my daughter's place tonight. I hope they can make it there with the battery. I want to be able to give her some place to take it to tomorrow, though. r
are you to far away to get there and fix it? if it's just the alternator should be easy fix. that's what i would do.
if for some reason the battery gives out fine out what mile marker they are and I'll come pick them up and take them where they need to go.
I'm a a couple of hundred miles away or else I'd be there myself. It's a newer truck and alternators on those are a *****... not something you want to fix on the side of the road. r
