Secret Private junkyard tour/no rust belt here

Dang! I know of a 1969 Boss 302 just outside of Wichita Falls, Tx. It is minus the engine and rear louver. Trans, rear, interior is all there. Each time the Air Force sends me to Sheppard Air Base, I visit the couple who own the car. The wife wants it gone & the hubby is emotionally attached to it. There is a HUGE yard on the other side of the city where the son inherited it and the state took it in back taxes. It has vehicles from the 1930's on. I plan on visiting back down there in the Summer of 2013 via Air Force training. I'll take lots of pics and will answer questions.

 

No one said anything about the Cuda sitting there.......

my neck of the woods steel is up to around $10/100. Doubt it. Even if it is, Old Dude will die and the family already has the local crusher on speed dial...

 

A person can have a gun collection and want to keep them and not sell them for parts. This guy can't store the cars in his house, but it is his collection and he prefers to keep them.

Nice find. There's a place like that in Grand Rapids Michigan, but everything is for sale.

 

I've heard of a few people buying things from him. He has built a pretty nice fence around there since these pictures were taken. And it looks like he's been collecting more cars.

 

It is a number 5 Ram Turret.
I have 2, both from 1944 and they still make me money every time
I use them. I got them from the place my Dad worked, and he
ran them sometimes too. Makes me feel proud when I run them.

I'm only 30 minutes from GR in Plainwell and would LOVE to take a look around.
