update on project. havent done much removing sheet metal from big truck chassis. having benny at vision rod and custom build a new 34 frame. frame should be done next week.

  13. Cool truck ya gonna haul hay with it? :D

Looks like you got fenders and other big truck stuff to peddle. That should help defer the cost a little bit.

So tell us you got a chassis comming what are the plans for it? fenderless, shortened bed, flatty, buick?????

it will be a everyday driver to use as a truck. unchopped, full fendered may shorten the bed a little. will be traditional looking with wire wheels but will have modern drivetrain. using an ls1 6sp because i am tired of walking around it laying in the shop. the ls1 has alot of head work and a big cam and jesel rockers. ran it with a procharger in another car. not going to run procharger in this truck.

  18. yea fiddy, kind of what I was thinking. A baby nail like a '54 or so running though a pair of smitty's. That is the real sound of a real hot rod in my book. Hell I don't even like nail heads, but it is hot rod 101 as far as I am concerned.

yes the truck came from alabama. the ls1 has a 4 bolt motor mount so you have a 1/2 aluminum plate between the block and motor mount. i will make my own plates to set the motor in the best location. i wanted to set frame for standard small block incase i wanted to change mototrs. that is the bronco rearend. may change to old school motor. 014_01.JPG

In a world of bobbed trucks, nice to see a full fendered build. I know HRP's is a 32 but he has the right stance.Good luck. Maybe we can see it at the Steel in Motion in May????
