I have a rearend that I am putting under my T and it came out of a 60's Sprint car. It is a 1957 Olds or Pontiac rearend but has had the yoke changed out to a wing type U-joint. I need a stock yoke. I tried using a chevy but wrong spline. The one I need is a 13 spline and larger than the Chevy. Are there any cross refs that I could look for or does anyone have a stock yoke. I can not find anyone around here that has one.....

  2. That yoke looks like a 1955 or early 56 Pontiac yoke and they don't interchange with the later(late 56-57)rears.The yoke is larger in diameter and the pig is QUITE a bit larger as well as the axles.I believe that the style of yoke you have now goes back quite a ways in Pontiacs anyway.Don't know of any interchange.

Thank You. It may be a 55 or older but my problem is that it is a wing u joint and not a standard u jiont. Can not find the wing type. The rear end does have the bigger pig. I may not be able to switch to a newer style yoke so I just am tryint to find a standard yoke with big pinion 13 spline.

  5. You might try northwestern Auto Supply in Grand Rapids Michigan. They have an incredible supply of NOS and repro parts for older vehicles.I've done business with them for many years and have never had a problem. They have VERY knowledgeable people manning the phones. They also have a website(www.northwesternautosupply.com.).If anybody could supply you with the proper part, they can.
