Fellow Hamber's, Just want to give a word for the wise to anyone choosing to do business with Jamco. I ordered a part from them for a customer and one hour later cancelled it due to changes in the build. The sales rep said no problem, cancelled the shipment but charged me for it anyway. I have been trying for a month now to get my money back and keep getting told we will do it as soon as we have the money! I cannot imagine running a company and needing to process customers c cards fraudulently in order to make ends meet. PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK !!
don't dick around with the company, you gave them a chance to refund and they didn't, now call your credit card.
I too was a victim of Jamco.... Ordered a bunch, got a little !... Really poor piss poor front office help. Best thing you can do is go on Jamco's Face book page and voice your concerns.. that was more people will become aware of their dealings. If anyone had installed a ball-joint conversion kit e/w Tubular A-Arms on a 49-51 Merc send me PM, as I have questions. No specs or instructions were furnished. Jamco sold the kits, but they were actually build and shipped by CPP. CPP will not give out any specs, and of course...you can't get any help from Jamco. The Alliance removed Jamco from their list of vendors last year!
Yup, File a dispute with credit card company. I had this same exact thing with Dell Computers. When I called them, they told me tough bounce and that I would have to pay and then dispute it with their accounting depart. I laughed, filed the dispute with credit card company, and that was the end of it.
The "jamco sucks thread" is in the top 5 most common according to the Wikipedia HAMB page Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
yes call your credit card and cancel it from that end .. i delt with a company and there producted failed and they jerked me around and on the shippng was 8months from the purchase and the credit card company handled it no problem ..
!!!!!!!!!!Just for a little info, BUYER BEWARE.....Performance Online is the same company. Had the same issues just recently with them!!! Check their address!!!! Same guys answering the phones......interesting!!!! http://www.performanceonline.com/!!!!!!!!!!!
Jamco is bad business . Order a pair of leaf springs about a 2years ago . After a month of getting the in around that they are going to be shipped . I decided to pay them a visit at the old corona location.i had my buddy call them to see if they where there. Phone call was answer. And was told that they were open till 5 pm. While walking up to there building we were spotted and door were locked . I let Wells Fargo deal with them after that. I did hear the owner died and the son took over not long ago.
Does anyone have any insight as to why these guys are running two different companies out of the same location? Has anyone physically ever been to their shop? I've read all the threads on JAMCO and this whole story seems to get weirder and weirder. Are they just straight up a rip-off company now? I'd really love to get a set of their direct fit lowering leaf springs for my 51 Chevy, but no way now. Does anyone else make a set of lowering springs like these?
Try the car shop in orange ca. The owner was having them locally at one time. I think the company name Deaver spring in Santa Ana ,ca
The surprising part is that people are actually still ordering stuff from them. Do they think their luck will be any better than the multitudes of people who have been screwed ? It's like dating a woman who has cheated on every boyfriend she has had.......... Don
I called and ordered a set of their 302 motor mounts for shoebox Ford. Had the sales guy go physically check they were in stock. Received them a few days later. This was about 3 months ago. No issues for me with Jamco.
They were on the local news in San Francisco for beind a fraudulent business...Someone must have known someone at that station and got pissed off enough they had a little thing about JAMCO ripping people off.
It's very simple, when you get the CC bill you don't pay that portion of it, znd you file an explanation with the CC company. I've done it once or twice in my life. The CC company is on your side.

I ordered some lowering leafs from them 3 years ago, for 51 Chevy and they gave me the wrong ones they were to long for my car, after I called them to tell them I think you guys gave m the wrong ones they told me there is no way they did. I was doing something wrong.. I called them a bunch of times and they never answer the phones or return calls so I made the drive and they gave me the right ones. I kept the first pair they gave me but I have no idea what car or truck they are for..
Wow, glad i found this thread... I was minutes away from ordering a few hundred bucks worth of parts from them.
