??? on Model A and Model T quarter panels

Guys and Gals,
I have a strange question but do need to know the answer. The rear quarters on a 26-27 T seam longer from the center of the wheel-well than the quarters on a Model A quarter panel from the center of the wheel-well. Could be the way the bodes are shaped that's throwing me. Once I get the answer then I'll tell you what I am thinking.
