Anyone know who makes a quality smoothie wheel? USA made, no china ****. I have heard some bad stories about wheel vintiques. Can anyone help?
find wheelkid on here, i think he owns http://www.rallyamerica.com/ folks only have good things to say about his product and service.
Early wheel company make them in house, to your specs, and can do a 1-2 day turn around on them. http://www.earlywheel.com/
I am going to put smoothie wheels on my 1979 Chevy C10 P/U and would like to know what the widest wheel is that I can put on the rear without overhanging the fenders.
-Start with an intro in the "new guys" threads. Some one will jump in your *** if you don't. -Your '79 chevy is WAY past the '64 cut off year for the site, so someone will jump in your *** for that too. - There are littereally hundreds of posts on the googles about correct backspacing for front and rear wheels for the chevy c-10's, would have taken all of 30 sec to do a search. - The orginal topic was looking for a source for wheels, not looking for size recomendations, don't steal someone elses post, just start your own and let the **** roll down hill from there.
I bought four custom offset wheels from these guys. They welded up hub cap tangs and powder coated them. I was very happy. http://www.thewheelsmith.net/
Has anyone been able to find a reputable source for wheels 16 plus size? There are very few vendors which offer smoothies over this size. Has anyone done business with.... http://www.hotrodhanks.com/products/wheels/productID/4426 Dane. Nice truck.
Here is a link for some aluminum shoes powder coating is relatively cheap as well. Price seems too good to be true! http://www.rallyamerica.com/Billet_Smoothie.html
