Interesting that some of the cars were 20 years old and out there running. There are a couple '40 Fords.

 

And all the drivers in T shirts and open faced helmets.

 

Yea, the pole position car was 6 years old (54 Ford) and the 2 56 Fords were haulin *** away from everyone. Glad everyone enjoyed it.

 

That was the Sportsman race that was held before the Daytona 500. They filled out the field with modifieds, which caught a lot of air with the open front fenders. These cars never ran even so close to the speeds they saw at Daytona that day.
