Need help identifying this grill. It doesn't have the peak below the emblem. It is like the Model A commercial grill but it is stainless rather than painted steel. Deluxe model pickup?? Year or years? I've never seen one before and can't find the same on Google images. Ideas?

Is it for a heavier A truck (ton instead of 1/2 or commercial use)? Just a thought.

What does the back side look like? Is is a clever p***enger shell welded up to look like a commercial shell?

No welds on back. It looks all original. The bottom looks like a Commercial grill too.

    It's not a '30 p***enger grill. I'm thinking firetruck now (thanks spooler) Here's a pic of a '30 AA Firetruck I just found:

That is a pretty rare piece. Normal trucks got that in black, stainless like p***enger was for deluxe sorts of trucks, fancy store deliveries, fire engines, trucks ordered with extra $ to look sharp and not Farmer Joe's hog hauler.
I think the AA "Service cars" and the deluxe pickup with the body-width bed got that shell, and there were Deluxe Delivery models for city stores. All rather rare applications. It would start a riot a****st Model A restorers...

I should have said 1930 Commercial shell,,and like Bruce pointed out,,it's rare.

You should go over to the Ford Barn and post the photo,,you could actually start a feeding frenzy over there!:D HRP

  12. The emblem is from 1931. It is from a deluxe AA like an ambulance or fire truck.
