36 chevy standard? help?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Schwartz Inc., Feb 5, 2013.

  1. Hey Guys!
Im hoping to get some help here. I am going to be doing a ch***is upgrade on this ch***is. My customer is telling me that its a 1936 chevy 5 window coupe. I believe the hat style frame makes it a standard?
In short I am looking to figure out exactly what this ch***is is? Year, standard, master, ect?
I know that there were a lot of differences around these years!

Standard [like the one in your photo] has front leaf springs..master has coil springs in the front. Yours appears to be a standard.

Yes, you have a Standard. The Master had the "Knee Action". Note the 36'-39' front axles had the wider perch locations (28" I believe) vs. the earlier (26") spread.
