Seriously - join the Yahoo. group. You will get an e-mail every time someone sends a new topic, or answers one. And you can mention on there it is your first aarly Pontiac, and see who those guys have used, trial and error.

Same results as on the hamb, but a little more narrowed to just 1950-59 Pontiac people's experience / feedback.
And call CPR Pont. parts...try NAPA for good suspension stuff and alson rockauto.

They haven't let me down yet and have given good advice on the phone. They have saved me money on a few parts I didnt need after talking to them, as I live in the UK an shipping can be expensive for heavy parts. It would b eeasy for them just to send the parts. I guess the good service is why i keep going back to them.
Yahoo Pontiac group is very helpful for info. I see you have joined now.
They will advise if Chevy floor pans fit, but they don't normally (on later models).
Enjoy the car, they are great fun.

I know this may be a little late. There is a guy in Asheville NC that bought out all the nos parts from dealers. He has everything for that car except for the battery and upholstery. His name is how Curtis and his business is Curtis Pontiac parts I think. Dude has an original straight 8 still in the shipping crate. If you get desperate look him up. But he knows what he has.
