I'm collecting parts for a Model A Coupe build. I have a good 8ba that is about to go to the machine shop and plan on running a T5 trans. My question is this: I have a lead on a rear end out of a 1950 Ford p***enger car, will this work on a Model A? Through my searches I saw that these appear to come in different flavors as far as gearing is concerned, is there an easy way to tell the difference? How available are parts for these rear ends?

As always, thanks for the info, it is greatly appreciated.

  2. i'd p*** on it and look for an 8" out of a ford maverick....you can get parts for them and different gear ratios can be found.

Or look for an early bronco rear end, they are narrow, very strong and have the factory 5 on 5 1/2 bolt pattern.

Thanks for the input guys, I figured it wasn't the best bet but figured I'd ask. Olskool34, I like the idea of the Bronco rear, should be relatively easy and cheap to find in the junk yards.
