hey nice find. Any idea what the prices are like? I got my eye on that nearly rust free caravan. On second look i think its a voyager, nevermind not my style. Just joking!!! Anyway nice find!!!!
This should be my last list I dont want to take up to much space. I am going back in a few weeks to talk with the old man about the price on all of the cars. He does have titles for most of the cars. We just have to sort through them and match them up with the cars. I any of you like a certain car let me know I will try and take more pics of it. I know he doesnt want much for most of them. One of the ones I am picking up is a 60 pontiac catalina 2 door for only 500.00. Jonney
Just a quick list of some of the cars I was able to get pics of. 6 Chevy pick ups 5 were 3 windows 1 5 window, 1 thunderbird 1 Dodge 4 door 2 cadi 1 2 door 1 4 door 3 50 ford shoeboxs all 3 2 door and custom coupes 1 chevy one ton 1 dodge 4 door 1 buick 4 door 1 ford custom wagon 1 stude pick up a couple of old gas pumps 1 pontiac catalina 1 chevy 4 door There was a lot more cars I could not see because of the brush bing so high and the snakes are really bad in this area, I and killed one cotton mouth by the time I was getting into the search so i called it off for a couple of weeks until the temp drops a little and I can go back with my machette to cut my way back. Jonney
If you don't mind,I'd be interested in those two Gilbarco fuel pumps. Could you see what he'll take for them? No rush...
Yep looks like ol NC,pine trees and rust!! LOL!! OH OH I got dibs on the Caravan!!! J/K !!! The Shoeboxes looks ok..
I dont know if they want to part out any of the cars. But I don't know for certain. There are 3 fuel pumps that I saw and have pics of, but there may be more, I also want them but I dont need all 3. I also have a few more pics of the T-bird. There are alot of cars I didnt take pics of because I didnt think they would go well here. Like a 340 Duster, challenger, 73 Charger, I think its a 66 Impala S/W 327 car, and I think 62 impala 4 door. Plus I was not able to take pics of his original 57 t-bird with continental pakage, and 65 mustang 289 hi-po with hurst 4 spd. Jonney
gotcha, if you don't mind ask about the "whole" trucks for me the next time your there. preferably this 3w:
One more of th T-bord interior Also I was wondering if anyone could help ID this motor? Its probalyl a SBC just looks different on it lid. Thanks anyway
DIBS ON THE 57 CADDY ! naw, seriously...... Jonney, I'd pay stupid money for the rocker and quarter panel mouldings on that Caddy if they're nice Might have to just buy the whole thing if it's priced fair. Keep that in mind next trip out there
looks like a place i've been to a coupla times. hard to tell from the pics. hell i've scrounged most of the yards in nc in the 8 years i've been here. there are some good finds if you look hard enough. the strangest so far has been a mostly mopar yard between me and asheville that literally sits on top of a mountain. takes for fucking ever to get up there(the reason i've only been once). where this place at?...ken....
I would love to go walk a old tin lot like that. I live in Smithfield NC. I'm 28 and want to start some kind of traditional project soon. I would like to check some yards out if you guys would take me or tell me where.
I have heard out that yard. I have the guys number around here some where. I called him about a 67 Coronet 500 he has, but he wanted way to much for a car that was just a shell and serverly rusted. I am still not very good on explaining where everything is out here, thats pretty bad since I have lived here for two years now, both times I follow the grand daughter out to thier house to look at the cars. I will get some better all around pics of the caddy, like I said before I really dont think they want to sell parts off of the cars, but I will ask then once I get in touch with them again. There was piles of parts, wheels, hub caps, baby moons all over the place. I will take more pics next time. as for the gas pumps I wanted one, and I found 3 but didnt look very hard around where they were there is probaly more. Any more questions or want better pics let me know I will probaly go back out in a couple weeks. Jonney
Heres another one of the cadi, and a ford custom wagon. Stone these cars are located above raleigh. I have tuesday and wednesday off, if you felt like the trip on one of my days off when I am going pm me. I will give you my number so we can make arrangments to meet so you can check out cars. Jonney
I have no clue. I know I pass through a town going out to her house but could not tell you what the name is. So I am so vague, but I really dont know. I am coming from Littleton going 158 west going towards warrenton. Thats about all I know after thats its all a bunch of turns. Jonney
Yes it does,I also know of another place about 45 minutes from Raleigh that has a shit load of old cars ,several old Caddy`s ,53 chevy`s, studes,57 chevys, etc, etc...QUOTE=KnuckleDragger]Between I-85 and I-95. Close to the VA border. Does that help? Jonney[/QUOTE]
