I've run Cokers for several years, no problems at all. I love the wide whites.

I have both and I can tell you that the Diamond Back win hands down. The Cokers are brand new and they shake. I have checked the rims and they are true, balanced the tires several times and they still shake, had a front end alignment and all was good. Now I find that two of the tires are out of round and after all I have spent. I am not the only one that has had this problem with these tires. I have also been told that the tires from ****er are manufactured in China with the old American moulds and the white walls are put on in North America. I would rate these tires a 6 out of 10 and that is being generous.

I am running the MX series Diamon Backs on two other cars and not a problem. Well perhaps one. They are very hard to clean and mar very easy. The ride is great I would rate them 9 out of 10 and would not hesitate on ordering another set.

Tires MUST HAVE the country of origin moulded in to the tire by Federal law.
They must also have the date of manufacture and other information.

Nice to know that but do they actualy conform to the law?? I am going to check mine out and see. These tires have caused me a lot of grief. The problem is they were purchased by the previous owner over a year and half ago. He put no miles on them and I have since put around 2500K on them. So I can't imagine any warranty in my situation. Just a bad taste for their product and like I said I am not the only one to complain.

  7. I have heard of people having problems with Coker but that was a long time ago. I think that Coker is a bigger company than Diamond back and when you call you may well get someone on the phone who didn't get their last break or raise.

That doesn't make them a bad company it may just mean that you get hold of a poor employee.

Just being the devils advocate here.

I just got my Diamond back Fury radials in and I the reason I went with them is because they were suppose to be made in the US. Well when I got them they said Made in China on them. I called to ask about this and they told me that the tire I got actually had better ratings than the made in US tire and that the tooling, and facilities in China are new and therefore, are turning out a better tire than our factories here. They also said they do make subs***utions when tires they normally use are out of stock. I am happy with the look and handling of these tires so I kept them. The tire is a Kingstar centum sk72 and they are now owned by Hankook. I went on line and looked up the ratings for the tire I got and they do have very good ratings.

Man I am totally bummed,I have about 2 ,000 miles on my beautiful DB's and I didn't realize a valve was leaking dropping the pressure after driving it causing the white wall to seperate about a 1/2 inch all the way around. No tire shop will change the valve because of the separation. I guess I will have to save up $ to replace it. Man o man this ****s. Great tires ,I would recommend them to everyone.

I worked at a tire shop a couple of years ago. Had the chance to mount and balance hundreds of tires over the 8 or so months I was there. The chinese GT Radial brand was a smooth balancing tire, always consistant, very good quality. The Goodyears, Kelly Springfields, and BFGs were hit and miss. Some would run fairly smooth, others would run up on the balancer like a goose egg. Todays tire shops need to carry so many different sizes, they often only have four of each size and brand in stock, so if 3 of 4 balance nice and the other is a dud, the dud is balanced the best you can, and put on the right rear and hope you don't get any complaints. Lord help the poor sap when the tires are rotated and that egg gets moved to a steer tire. Sad but true, I would never have believed chinese tires were any good at all, but seeing is believing, and they do seem to be able to make smooth running tires.

  11. G'day, last post of Diamond Backs vs Coker, I did not buy my Cokers direct like you guys in the USA, back in 2009, had to rely on Australian business that sells Cokers, had them on my 61 Cadillac, we average 10 miles a year in our car and the Cokers didn't get us much past the first year before they started wearing oddly, even though I really took care with them with regards to PSI, next I changed to American Cl***ics, YUK, had a blow out on two tires and only 3 months old, was forced to buy normal radials so we could get some miles on the clock, in late 2013 I went to Diamond Backs, purchased after 40,000 miles cruising Australian roads, and in one trip over 6 weeks did 8,000 miles cruising from the east to west coast of Australia and back again, I still today 2017 have them on my 61 Caddy, they have not separated, they still have legal tread on them, and I am about to purchase some more, while I do agree that Coker is a better-looking tire, this is not important to me, as I need one that will perform and still look like I have a nice white wall, the DB's have been great and look good on my Caddy, so have been very happy, so much so that I have bought some for my trailer too.
