I have a 1/4 elliptic suicide front suspension on a 36 International that has a similar axle design. I could post a pic tomorrow.

Well, This is a traditional hot rod forum. If you are building something different, then just respect the rules of this forum. It has a wealth of knowledge, but just keep in mind the rules of the forum.

I recommend you visit the ratrodsrule or killbillet forums for your questions on your build. You won't have much success getting answers here. This is a forum for traditionally built hotrods.

  10. Well I'll tell you how to go about it not so that you can build a shock rod or whatever the newest new age name for an abortion is but just in case someone else is using an axle like that on their old roadster.

You just do it with quarter elips, if you ch***is is wide enough you use the original mounting pads on the axle for the spring mounts and if you ch***is is narrower you would want to weld brackets to the axle.

As for how to build a quarter elip setup the search function should net you tons of information, You may want to search the tech archives as well as the main board.
