Clayton, next town out from Garner on 70 East leaving Raleigh.....

Some of it isn't for sale... Some of it is junk... though Durwood seems to like me since I hooked him up with seats for his '40 Ford...

I dont know they are pretty big over 4 feet tall and probally over 100 lbs. I dont through where a frieght shipping company is around here. The town I live outside of only has 300 people and a really small post office. I could do my best to get dimensions and approx weight if you wanted to try and figure out how it would get to you.

I was planning on going back out in a couple of weeks, but I cant wait to get back out there. I really want to try and get farther back this time and try to clean up around some of the cars for better pics. Guess I will just have to get out the chain saw, machette, weed wacker and 12 gage.

Any pics of any 49-55 chevys or pontiacs or any other GM car or truck. I would prefer a two door but 4s are cool too.

Hey, thanks for the pic offer. If you happen to come across a '49-'52 Chevy 2-door hardtop or convertible, could you snap some pics of the beltline trim that runs under the rear window and stops at the rear edge of the doors. I think I read the yard isn't looking to sell individual parts, but ya never know. xadamx is looking for the trim for his '51. That thread is here

Man, I'd like to ride out there on Tuesday, but **** at work has gotten insane (which is why I'm stuck here on a Friday night). Was hoping to get by and help zman at his new bar this weekend, but that's in jeopardy too at this point. Have a cool trip to the yard!

I'll keep my eye out. This tuesday isnt going to be my only trip maybe some other time we can meet up and head out. The only reason why they dont want to part out to much is that they really want to clean this area up and dont want to be left with odd parts or half a car left over. Once they come together on prices I will list them in the cl***ifieds for who ever is interested.

Don't sweat trying to get pics of those trim pieces. The current R&C has a pic of a hardtop, from a perfect angle to see the trim. It looks practically identical to the sedan or post car trim, so I can see how the confusion starts. It'd still be cool to check out the yard one of these days...
