This Sunday, Feb 10th, we'll be doing another shop gathering. This one is on engines, we'll have John Wessels covering the flat head engines - John is a retired machinest and builder of many flatties; we;ll get Gary Phares to do a cam change on a sbc, he'll show how to check clearances and degree a cam with the degree wheel - Gary is a senior instructor at Northern Virginia Community College for 35years and past track champion at Old Dominion Speedway; John Wessels and i will team up and do the maior presentation on carburetors. We'll get into airflow theory, explain how a carb actually works and show all the different p***ages, explain what they are for and show how all different carbs do the same thing, then we'll discuss the tuning. We'll have a buffet provided and as always there is no cost. I advise to bring a chair but we might have a few spares. We begin at 10am and continue until we are done, we get a good crowd and when everybody gets contributing we all learn and have fun. My shop is: Clarke Co. Speed 607 E.
