Us mere marshals don't get invited to the ball!

Incredible machines. I hope to have the opportunity to see/hear one in person someday.

Type C is an amazing machine, i saw it at Montecarlo Historic GP last may... wow!!
but the most impressive car of all the Porsche legacy you can see it in 2014.
The Cisitalia 360 will be race (basically for the first time) in 2014... this is the last son on Porsche engeneering out of the type C.
I had the opportunity to follow the restoration of the ch***is that used to be displayed at Donnington.... V16 boxer, supercharged, rear engine, 4 wheel drive and pneumatic sequential gear box (real unbelivable stuff )... i do have pics of them... if y'all i can post them

I'd love to learn more about the old European racing tradition. Looking forward to more pics and info on this.

Makes me wonder if someone could have taken some DB605s out of Messerschmidt ME-109s after the end of the war and put them into race car ch***is like people did in the States with Allisons and Merlins.

Here we go! a couple of pic... this is 1967 when the car bought by Porsche museum from a private collector in Argentina.
The car was supposed to run 1950 F1 but the boat got water during a storm and the car was all filled up with salty water an never run again!

This is the later development of the Type C, Nuvolari did the tests 1947-48, first job in the automotive business for a young engineer Carlo Abarth: directing the construction.

THis car designed in 1947 was the most unbelievable mechanical piece of art... something that the 40's technology couldn't manufacture!

next i will post some of the pics of the engine open for restoration... it has some impressive surprises
    I hope y'all enjoy it

Here the surprises... take a look, if y'all are mechanics freaks... look at this crank!!!!!!
And the open "Faumous" sequential gearbox... 65 year ago Porsche designed it, today that's the way are built... wow this is genius stuff

Figure it out and we'll talk about it!

    I love this stuff
