Do you get setting tape from NAPA/an auto body shop or is it something you have to special order? I'm going to have to do this on my '53 F-100.

I used the tape, plenty of windex, and a rubber mallet.

Any gl*** shop that does auto gl*** should have it. Take your frames so they can match the correct tape to the new gl***/frames.

setting tape as stated it comes in many thickness, look at the old stuff that will give you a idea. I had a couple thickness on hand so I would'nt have to run 12 miles to get more.Rubber mallot and lots of lube you can get it done.

Yep, be sure to get the correct thickness of tape, any good gl*** shop should be able to help you out. Their is several types, an all rubber, and a fabric backed stuff with tar in it. No sure which is the best, as I used both in my F-3. But getting the correct thickness is vital, and will save alot of headache.

I also used a woodworking vice to help push the gl*** in, the type with wood jaws.

A buddy of mine made a quick frame the shape of the vent out of MDF...put the tape in the window frame, slide the frame into the MDF to hold it's shape and hold it still and then press the gl*** into place. A little soapy water or windex and you're good to go.
