I was really hoping tim would drop some knowledge here.

  4. Seems like most of this has been covered already but start with puting the farthest forward piston on the passenger side of the vehicle at TDC. The crank gear should only go on one way (if it doesn't have more than one key way that is). Then you look at the dot on the crank gear, should be at 3 o'clockish position. count 12 pins up the side and put the dot on the cam gear there. That's it!

I think the next thing is to make sure you have the firing order correct. I know it's been covered but here we go again. Pass side 1-2-3-4 drivers side 5-6-7-8. Look down at the dizzy, #1 should be about the 7 o'clock position on the cap, make sure the rotor is pointing the same place. Remember, that #1 cylinder needs to be at TDC firing. #6 will be on overlap. Both #1 and #6 pistons will be at TDC. Stick your finder in the spark plug hole and feel it. Now arrange the wires going COUNTER CLOCKWISE 1-5-4-8-6-3-7-2

I hope this is of some help. If you want to PM me go ahead. y-blocksforever.com has been down a couple of days.

    Cheers! Tim

I show a diffent pic same pin count.just turned more.
TDC is when piston is on top key way at 12 oclock, easy to check with pulley on O degs.
then the cam big gear is at 6 oclock.
When set there dots should be 12 pins apart.
When at top dead center put rotor on #1 if marked on cap, if not make one #1

Thrs no power to the distributor with a new coil. . I'm running it with ignition silenoide and switch. What can be the resons why coil isn't sending power to distributor? Btw the coil to distributor cable is good got it from running car to test it out.
