I guess I need to come up with a tag light for my 30 Coupe, been h***led twice by the Po-Po.... Want something that kinda looks like it came on the car but not gaudy, small but effective....any ideas or help appreciated. Next they will be making me add turn signals or some ****.....
I can't see your tag but they make little hooded lights either for tag lighs or for your dash and have been making them for at least 60 years or so. Anyway it would help if we could see how your tag is mounted.
I prefer this one. http://www.bing.com/images/search?q...AD9277F42361B199DAD5F84C3974&selectedIndex=22
If you don't want something big there are pages of led license place bolts on Ebay and probably at the local bike shop. one example 121060243628
Bear in mind that most states have laws prohibiting white light shining to the rear. Would be a bummer to go to the work of mounting a light only to have the fuzz write you for white light to rear. I think the Model A dash light would be cool.
Try something like this. It helps if you can find a way to hide the wires. Had them on an old Ford I had. NSRA Safety Inspector tried to ding me for no license plate lights until I showed himn the light (pun intended). He had never seen such a thing! The ones I had were chrome, but I found these with a quick Google search. http://www.sevensinschoppers.com/LED_Stainless_Domed_Bolt_License_Plate_Lighting_p/dei-030302.htm
If you want to basically keep the look you have try a pair of these. They are just license plate bolts with lights that can be directed down or up to your plate. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Stainless-Steel-Lighted-License-Plate-Bolts,2416.html
We used a chevy truck (I think) tag light from local swapmeet. It is the kind that sits below the tag and shines up. It's cad plated or such. Cut off the old bracket and made a smaller one to mount it on top of the tag and shine down. Not chrome and it looks the part...
Where is your plate, and what tail lights are you running? Factory A tail lights/plate mounts have a nice light setup allready done. Otherwise like others have said, hit your local motorcycle shop and get some of the LED plate bolts
That's what I used. The name brand ones are called Lite'n Boltz http://www.designengineering.com/ca...d-lighting-products-speed-tape/led-plate-kits
