I stubled across this picture today and thought: "How the hell have I never seen this car before, and why didn't they build this?!" 1956 Corvette Impala Looks like it was just a concept car - should've gone production so I could fine one! I'm sure there are many others - what you guys got??
How about "Impette"?? C'mon guys - someone has to have some other cool old concept cars that weren't far enough out there that they were feasible to be built.
That looks like the car Johnny Cash described (I know he said Cadillac) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWHniL8MyMM
Not as nice a the pics of the one-off, factory built T-Bird fastback show car posted by Perroroj, but how about a T-bird wagon as stablemate ( nest mate??) to go along with it? This one is homebuilt and very well done for an amateur build, in my opinion but not as nicely finished or executed as a factory-built version would have been. Maybe lose the Olds Vista-Cruser windows and raised roof and a bit better job on the back window. (It loks like its from a Pinto!) Still, a cool and very unique car! Mart3406 ===============
I don't know bout this, I like the back, but the roof looks too long and reminds me of a Marlin. A 63-64 Galaxie roof may look good tho, Photoshop anyone?
Hmm?? Some cars that "Could've, should've, would've been built?? I don't know how many they would have actually sold 'back in day', or more to the point, how much money they would have lost on each one they actually produced, but I know that a whole bunch of NHRA Stock cl*** racers back in the late '60's who got burned by a sudden, more realistic interpretation of the "Stock" cl*** rule book, sure wished that Chevrolet had actually built and sold some '57 Chevy sedan deliveries with 4-speed hydros and fuel-injected 283's and some '57 Chevy sedans, hardtops and wagons with 4-speed sticks! LOL! Mart3406 ============
The one nads scored is a one off 61 cad motorama car has not been seen in 30 years as told to me by nads cant wait to see itMm
I saw one of the company guys "building" one of those Try-5 disasters for an audience with a sawzall at the Charlotte Auto Fair a few years back- he was pitching a fit because things weren't fitting together the way he wanted... TRUE salesmanship
A little too many modern amenities, but this thing rocks. Forgive the ****py youtube video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYvj9GhD4kU&feature=player_embedded
The Corvette Nomad was my favorite. I don't have a picture of it right now but it was posted earlier just not stock.
that roof line actually makes me like the bullet birds. I always thought the original roof looked out of place on them.
