Please read the link and contact your Representative or the ones on the link. This is too important to blow off!!!!!! Tell everyone you know and get them involved to! Thanks *****UPDATE**** I emailed the whole list of Reps last night and got a bunch of replies today saying the bill has been tabled. Seems there is a LOT of opposition to this. Big surprise. Big thanks to SAN (SEMA) and all of you guys that helped out. Also thanks to b-bop here on the HAMB for alerting me to this issue. Stay vigilant! Scott
Well said, flattie. Some people think the HAMB is their own personal political forum and just can't understand that it's not allowed here. Sent from my DROID device using the TJJ mobile app
Obviously the proposed law is total B.S........but please don't get this shut down because of political rants. Thanks.
To bad we can't all get in on this...we need to stick together to fight this kind of ****, good luck.
Montana guys please send an email or call to your rep. This is a pretty big deal and I know it will hit the ****e area hard. BUMP
About 20 years ago we had a similar issue in the county I live here in New Mexico. Our county is close to 4,000 square miles and has one "large" city (by NM standards), a few small towns and municipalities, and the rest rural - other than in sheer size a demographic similar to Montana. In our case it was the big city trying to clean up and they figured a county ordinance was the way to go about it. Several folks throughout the rural parts got very vocal and demanded through the rural medias and direct contact that their representatives hold town meetings to discuss the ordinance. By spreading the word in the nooks and crannies enough noise was generated so meetings were held at most municipalities. While the reception was more positive in the city this was not so true elsewhere. And unfortunately at some of the more rural areas the meetings got rather ugly. But the message got across, the bill was quietly retracted and little mention made about since. Maybe an approach to consider.
I just updated my original post as well..... WE all need to stand up for our rights or else we won't have any! Thanks to all.....
Just read that this bill has been pulled from consideration. Added is the link! http://www.semasan.com/page.asp?content=aa_2013MT6&g=SEMAGA
