32 Ford firewall

    Anyone had a chance to use the 32 ford reproduction firewall from speedway?

    It looks like the reproduction firewall manufactured by Hotrod and Custom Stuff out of CA. I've used several of them in my 32 pkg roadsters and have one in my 32 PU and they worked good.

    Krylon, have you used just the fibergl*** firewall from Speedway? my body's gl*** so I was going to stay with gl***. Im using the rootlieb hood, shell and sides of metal, but the main body is gl***.

    I also have a gl*** deuce with an ugly flat firewall and I've wondered about overlaying with the gl*** Speedway one. They quote a 6-8 week lead time, so special order no refund.

    Seems it might make a 80's 90's car a little more trad?

    Might also be pig lipstick!

    I believe I would use a steel fire wall,,it would really strengthen the body in the cowl and windshield post area. HRP

    The only gl*** body I ever did was back ion the early 70s and I put a stock steel firewall in it. Helped make the cowl a little stronger.
