Howdy All, from the high deserts of California. I stumbled on the HAMB just by happy accident, and strangely felt at home. The wife thinks Im crazy because I like Junk and old stuff . I love the philosophy of why buy it new if you can find it original or even make it yourself I love coming across old rusty bullet riddled rides of forgotten times, ****tered through the desert. Makes me think I wish that ol car could talk, I bet it would have some good stories of the past. I hate old cars getting crushed for foreign steel... Im pretty certain that I was born about 40 years late. Love the simpler things without all the high-tech electronic devices, new wave pop music, I-pads, electronic sensors, etc I wont make my life easier with more complicated devices Im no pro when it comes to a chop, rebuilding an old V8, body and paint, but I love the challenge of tearing something down to make it how I want it. I love getting dirty while trying to make my ideas a reality. I love taking other ideas and tweaking it to my own taste. Ive never built a HAMB worthy rig, and I would consider myself a beginner in metal fab, and engine rebuilds, and thats why Im here To gain from the knowledge and experiences of others. Im here to learn from the old guys, and the young guys too. (no disrespect old guys, im starting to get a few grays myself). Im really looking forward to getting to know some of you hooligans and your rigs. Maybe meeting some local guys and going to some more swap meets, shows, and backyard builds. I worked out a barter with a good friend of mine, and Im getting an ol 63 unibody F100 that I have some big plans for. The usual treatment get it running, lower it (not a frame s****er), chop it a couple inches(maybe), body work and paint, and maybe barter my way up to an old shoe box ford. Im more of a ford guy but Ive never torn into an ol Y-block, so Ill be looking for posts on here for that a**** other things Glad to be here, Dave
Wow, a real deal intro! welcome to the Hamb. We'd sure enjoy pics of the truck when you get cranked up on it. Tim
