With the threads going around about style and tradition and what not, I figured I would share some stuff that inspires me. I wasn't around back when, I was born in '80, but I have all these old magazines. They are my bibles. I spend time just analyzing all the little details I see in the pictures. I read the ads to see what was available through mail order. I study the how to articles. So I guess maybe I'll post a couple different mags and see if it goes over well. First is custom corvettes from 63. Some of these cars were fully badass. I love to think from the perspective of the time- who wants just another Vette? Get down and spruce up that bad boy! Great stuff! This car is great. Interior is super clean and way 60s. Love the wheels and skinny whites. Looks soooo right. Another styling win.. This car is way awesome. Dig the lakes and the molding.. This motor rules. Totally dig the molded antenna and caddy tail lights on this car. Love the headlight treatment of the car in the center on the bottom.

man thats cool, The third pic down, of that back of the car, with the six tail lights and four exhaust pipes. They really knew how to make a car look good back then.
Here are a couple we built over the years. The red one is a `53, and the dark blue one is a `54. The both started out very rough but ended up like this.
Custom Corvettes are badass, plus they were modified & customised long before they were worth restoring. Bob Moreira custom '57 Corvette is still the coolest custom vette ever, than the Gene Winfield customised Mike Sparrow '56.
