So digging around in some boxes, I came across this locking gas cap. The V8 emblem swivels to the side. I like it, and will probably keep it on the wall, but was curious as to whether this was a Ford, or aftermarket, or any other info. I couldn't find any part numbers, or any other markings to identify it with, and a few hours searching the internet and this forum didn't turn up anything similar. Here's some pics, and thanks.

  2. That's a nice one. Looks like an accessory for a '32-'34, maybe.

  3. Doesn't look like any reproduction locking gas cap I've ever seen. HRP

Thanks guys, the box was my dad's and also had a gas cap and owners manual for a 50 ford.

Appears to be a genuine Ford emblem from the 30s. In those days dealers sold all kinds of accessories and bolt on goodies. It is probably a Ford accessory.
