Ok so maybe it's NOT the Ultimate, but I stil think I am gonna have a ball with it!

BTW it's vacuum operated via vintage vacuum switch mounted on the dash. I have to thank the Curator for donating the various parts.

The vacuum can - is a scavenged "low vacuum" indicator for a vintage semi (I think) truck - assuming vacuum for air brakes was critical. The finger says "Mattel" on it as I recall. The switch my buddy pointed out to me at a swapmeet and was actually some vintage carbureator economy getup (controlled vacuum leak?? I guess)

So far I have $2 wrapped up in the whole scha-boodle!!! Did I mention I was a cheap bastard???

    I can't wait to ROAD TEST it!!!!

That's really pretty cool! However, I think the ultimate hot rod accessory is a wife who says she supports you,go and have fun.(Okay, she also said if I want someone wearing short-shorts and a tube-top riding beside me I'd better find something that fits the dog).

  6. I can't imagine Mattel making something flippin' the bird. You should cast some outta aluminum and sell one to me. Please show the mechanism you used in detail if ya would. Thanks

  7. If you ever actually consider dressing up the dog in the aforementioned outfit, get out of the garage and take the wife to dinner. The brake cleaner fumes are taking their toll.

It wouldn't be a vaccuum indicator, it's a low air warning for the air brakes, from an old truck. Very cool tho!
