Kinda OT....cheating the wind....Soap Box Derby

I saw this on the autoweek site on Monday. Wow, soapbox derby racing has come along way. There is a track in Kansas City and the local troop of Boy Scouts hold events in the spring and the fall.

I was kinda thinking I should get my kids into Soap Box Derby...maybe not.

 

Finally - a Nissan I like...

 

I would love to see a picture of the green sedan they show behind some of the other cars. all you can see of it is the roof. Any one got a good shot of it?

 

The finish line is a mile from my work. I kinda dig it. An amateur cl*** would be cool.

 

I think the sedan is the concept drawing above. I tried to find more pix on the web, but it was a no go.

kool gravity cars, but i wonder how much mom and pop had to bankroll them? its somewhat eerie to me. its like starting a whole new generation of gold-chainers.

 

those are corporate cars from what i understand. i think the green sedan was fundedd by oakley sungl***es.

It is really bad *** looking...4 wheels discs and whitewall bike tires...those wheels are almost perportionate to what an A with skinny 24's would look like

They need to do a soap box derby pinks, make the show a lot more interesting

 

Naw lil bro, just full contact! There are already outlaw Derbies in many places. The Bike guys have one in San Fran. Thats bicycle folks on 4 wheels. Messengers are nuts.

 

It has come a long ways since this 60's version I own!

 

NO ****ing way!!!! Boyd built something cool????? Do that up Morgan style with a Harley twin up front side to side! Someone needs to find some under carrage shots.............I like Conders Ideas to,very nice dude!!!

 

Levis, when my dad helped me build mine, everyone had to use approved wheels. Something about Soap Box Racers ***ociation rules.
As far as streamlining went, Weren't there different cl***es depending on the amount of streamlining that you did?
