Picked up these Hemi valve covers with the intention of stealing the M/T breathers for another set. The longer I look at them the more curious I am as to what car they came off of. Originally purchased in Long Beach 20 years ago. They are unique enough with the gold anodized breathers, red paint, and "Dons Speed Center" engraving that I figured someone may remember them and know what car/dragster they may have been on. Did a google search but didn't come up with anything.

there was a don's speed center down in san diego by the sports arena, wayne finley who worked there was pretty well known for his finley 4's. they built quite a few bonneville and drag engines years back. i think they also did some of the machine work for nolan whites bonneville car, (big block chevy) as well as nolans son rick's dragster (hemi stuff).
i have no idea if they are responsible for the valve covers but it's another possibility.

sure I recognize - I used to work at Don's Speed Center in San Diego - once when I was in high school, and again after 4 years in service. We ran a Top Fuel car, 354 but beat the 392s by tuning. learned all I could about running top fuel in that front-engine era, things have kinda changed  I imagine these are off our old Woody-car. Lots of history there.
