Pop was a rodder and a tool and die maker; I've been around this stuff all my life, and I got a problem... I like my things-with-motors to go fast. Minibike? Pop jackshafted it so's it would top out at twenty; I milled the head and removed the governor to spool it to 45. Flathead minibike motors blow up at 7 grand, BTW. Was the first (but not the last) motor I blew. Most recent one was in my daily driver - an '03 Mach 1 capable of 12 second passes. There were lots inbetween, but those are stories for another day. Anyway, I'm currently building an A-V8 flathead roadster. The little snot has to go, otherwise it will be kinda boring. Tell you more about it later.
