Hey Folks, want to say hello and a huge Thanks to everyone here for re-inspiring me!In younger days, I was mostly into the muscle car scene-70 camaro.73 stingray, 74 nova but still never forgot my only ride in a trad hotrod-grade 10,15 yrs young- in a buddies 30 A coupe-354 hemi,4sp 9in about a foot too wide( ok some parts of the seventies a best left forgotten!) It was LOUD, scary fast, wouldn't hardly turn or stop, frame welds looked like chicken s...--and I loved every last second of it! Always wanted a hotrod but livin in the boonies, you don't come across them too often. In 1996, a buddy came across a 30 A Tudor early 70's rod for $500-instantly I was on my way to my dream! $500 you say? A STEAL! right-tudor body mounted an a late 40's ford? truck chassis, wheelbase way off, firewall in the way so whoever built it slid the front axle forward on springs as far as possible, then moved rear fenders forward 4" and brazed them to the tub. had a canadian street rod nats plaque on the dash so someone had driven it!(and I thought that highschool coupe was scary!!)
Gung ho, I built a chassis out of 2x4 tubing, ordered up and installed a drop axle, scrounged a 9in from the dump and had a roller in the first six months. then came my second son, then a few years later divorce and project slowed almost to a standstill.every few months(years!?) I would get back to it a bit-chopped the top in 99, caddy 472 in 2002.couple o years chasin overpriced crap an ebay- Finding H.A.M.B. has got me rarin" to go again!!!!!!

On the road in 06!!!! Thanks again, flatblack1

welcome. This board will keep you inspired on projects if you spend just the right ammount of time on it--too little and you will forget--too much and you won't have time for your project.
