I was happy to see the legendary Radical Ray Erickson, who brought his sinister Packard downtown.

Nice work Tom, sorry I couldn't make it to town in time to shake hands. I will just have to make it out to AZ one of these days. I haven't been back there for a few years.

Oh god, please don't turn into a Dan Greenburg on us Tom! Not that there's anything wrong with that . . .

I know, I was wondering because I don't think that was Monty talking to Sonny. I know Monty quite well and I didn't know that guy and he didn't know me when Sonny and i talked after I shot the photo. Plus, he doesn't quite look like Monty to me in the photo anyway.

Please tell **** and Monty hi for me.

Jim, there's representation and then there's fun to be had manipulating files when depicting vehicles appropriate to the treatment. Then, there's all the manipulation we do that no one recognizes as such.

I have fun with it and so does Dan. We may be subtly influencing each other....not that there's anything wrong with that!

  11. My wife and I got into a discussion about the picture. It sure looked like Monty to me but my wife says not. **** and I married sisters and I have known Monty since he was a pup. I can remember him and his dad building the Blossum in their garage at his old home place. **** still has his 51 Chevy. His health is failing but he is still his lovable old self. I might see Monty once a year. We have been friends for a long time.

I hated to contradict a "homeboy", but I met Monty in '62 when he and **** first brought the T to Farhner's show at the Fair in Sedalia. I have seen him dozens of times subsequently and it's been too long, but there's no way we would have been that close together and missed each other.

Holy smoke, this would make a kick-*** poster! Just crop it below the ventilation ducts and there you are.

I'm in no way dissing what you're doing with your edit tools, really appreciate all the time you put in for our viewing pleasure. For me, I favor the color that closest approaches the real thing, although I can appreciate how elusive that might be. Ultimately, I guess it does come down to your interpretation of what you see under different lighting conditions, and I also appreciate the fact that it must be difficult to not explore all the color possibilities that your artistic eye beholds. :)

The guy talking to Sonny looks like Jim Eggleston of Eggleston Speed in Iowa. Cal
