I have the entire front of the car off. Just the frame, suspension and the steering ***embly is in the way. The engine is temporarily installed while I adapt a c6 trans to the car. I looked at the headers and see the fit will be tight, especially around the steering box. My question is: do I attach the headers to the engine before putting it back in. Wait til the engine is in and pull up each side one st a time to fit the headers. Or am I missing something?

I'd install the engine, then while the front sheet metal is off, lift the sides of the engine as needed.

yes do the p***enger side first so when you roll the motor over it wont hit nothing or scratch the paint.

Hang the headers in the ch***is and lower the engine in. I had to do that with a 460 car.

  5. Ever heard of an Exhaust shop pulling a Motor or removing the front sheet metal to install a set of Headers? Most often they install from the bottom up. Once in a while the tire rods may get dropped to make room. Tilting a motor, I doubt it but maybe. I guess if you bought tiwan stuff you could get in trouble but name brand shouldn't be any issue at all.
