Okay, I'm another new guy looking to start building an old hot rod. I'm located in central florida. I'm currently looking for something to start building, prefferably an old model A . I have very little knowledge of the older cars, but I'm a technician by trade so I am very mechanically inclined. If any body is in my area that can point me in the right direction as far as car shows, parts swap meets that I can attend to help find something I can start on that would be great. If anybody has any late model tech questions I can probably help. Thanks for having me.
Welcome to the HAMB! I'm not even "freeway close" since the I-10 washed away (It goes all the way to Santa Monica, CA you know...!?) I have no idea where Cocoa is but think there's HAMBers it Tampa and Orlando a**** others.
Cocoa is about 15min away from Cape Canaveral where the shuttle is launched from. If there's anyone in my area that can help me find a ride to get started on that would be great.
