Hello, Im Moparchick. I have a few Mopars, and a Chev. My current state of residency is somewhere between pretending to be sane, and not giving a fugg...
four-thirteen invited me, or at least exposed me to the dark side of the HAMB.

Well...ya prolly wont like my Mopar, I have a Neon with a roll cage, I drag race it and autocross it.
I do have some redeemable qualities however...
I have a 1952 Chevy Short Box. Right now it is in pieces. It's a frame off job. Got a front end kit from Zig's (Mustang II front end, rack and pinion, 2 inch drop spindles, and Camaro brakes). Rear Posi Disc, 283 with camel back heads, Weiand Stealth, Edelbrock carb...the usual...

well here is a picture in it's almost current state... (edit...picture file is too large and I am not sure how to shrink it. If someone wants to help, that would be nice.)
also have a 73 Honda CB 450 motorcycle too. Stored in airplane hanger its whole life...fwiw.
Dad and I have done a few old cars...
    1937 Chev Business Coupe
    1941 Chev Special Deluxe
Homemade "Mini-Rig" half 1 ton frame with scaled down semi truck body and 3116 Cat.
    1968 Corvette
Many many old pre-1950s John Deere tractors...
and yes...four-thirteen can be quite the...problem maker!

Right on. A ricer chick on the HAMB. Are you runnin' high 7s with that top fuel NeoDrag?

Sounds like you're off to a good start with that Chev. What are you planning on doing with it? Got any pictures?

gawd I love being called a "ricer" (rolling my eyes)
what else can you buy for $2000 that runs 13's NA, and gets 30 mpg? anyhow...I figured I would get picked on cuz of it, but hey thats cool. Car looks bone stock from the outside, but it idles like a v8, headlights even flicker cuz of the cams. No loud exhaust, it even looks stock...taken a few mustangs by surprise... [IMG]
Right now the truck is just a frame, I need to clean it up and get it painted...any suggestions on what paint to use?
Once that is done, the cab and box go back on, the rear and front end are all mounted, so pop the front clip on and drop the engine in, and ta-dah! Let the nickel and dime time begin.
Got a Painless Wiring kit to throw in it, a Caddy steering column with tilt and tele, column shift.
Thinkin of putting in my Powerglide tranny for added uniqueness, but Im not sure I will have enough power to get it to move with that under it...
Thats about it...got some purple goodies for the engine. Truck is green like what it came with originally.
My grampa got the truck for me when I was about 12. He restored it and put a straight 6 in it with the 3 on the tree. It sat after he died and now its getting the makeover...The 283 is out of my great grampas 67 Chevy truck. The whole project is sort of an heirloom... [IMG]

Easy guys, this gurl knows her shit. If I asked my G/F what a Caddy Tilt/Telescopic steering column was, she'd think it was something to look at stars with!

Sounds like a nice project. Heirlooms/Sentimental value go a long way (into the pocketbook) towards a nice project. I'm sure all of us would love to see some pictures...

    HAHAHAHA
    yeah no kiddin huh?
poor thang has been apart for over 3 years. I got a burr in my saddle pad and moved to Cali. Now Im back in the frigid tundra with four-thirteen shoveling snow. Anyone wanna come over and help scrape frame? haha
The crossmember for the tranny is about 3 feet wide where it mounts to the frame. It ended up seeing some salt in the winter years ago and after my grampa died it sat.
each side of the frame where the xmemeber bolts on were gone! completely gone...had to weld new patches in. looks really nice. dad had to do that one, as I was afraid of doing some major damn-age.

There is a 22 year old blonde who has a pro-street '67 Camaro that's hot pink where I live. She can barely drive it, I think her dad built it for her. He probably needed an excuse to build something - who can blame him? [IMG]

Where the hell can you find a 13 second neon for $2000??? I had a friend following me home, me in my chevy II, him in his stock NEON, and I just took off from the stop light like I always do (1/8 throttle or so), I pulled WAY ahead of him, and when we got here he told me he was trying to race me!!! BTW: WELCOME! [IMG]

WELCOME. sounds like you really know your stuff. it's cool when girls actually know how to work on cars cause it's so rare. at least in my experience. i'd like to have a daughter just so i can teach her to work on cars [IMG].

dig the Chevy. where in the "frozen tundra" do you live??
