I'll be out catching the drags at Firebird Raceway in Chandler this weekend What else is there to do after the races?
Absolutely nothing! most boring place on earth... kidding! You are here at the best time of year and it just depends on what you want to do! Food, museums, local sights, car stuff - hell, I can think of 5 or six different criuse nights per weekend night depending on what part of twon your in. So what do you want to do?
Wish I was going! Grandaughter got a pair of tickets this past Sunday for her birthday from her mom (tattooed_mommy).
Ya, I have to second that! Bodi, Landseanadair and I were out and about a bit ago here in Phoenix and the stuff hitting the windsheild of Bodi's C10 was trying REAL hard to be snow instead of rain! It's not sticking but there it was. It is supposed to clear out tonight, but the next several day are to be under 60 degrees. To us locals that's about as winter as winter gets!
Apparently it's called Graupel? http://www.abc15.com/dpp/news/regio...graupel-falls-in-valley-during-february-storm
Weather guys are eating this weather up. So exciting for them it seems they are making up new words! Weather guy down here was saying to expect "snizzle', combination snow and drizzle I guys. He was dead wrong, it's been snowing pretty heavily here all day!! also check out... http://www.cruisinarizona.com/carshows.html
It came down enough where i was at on 44th st and thomas good enough to make snowballs. I guess it would be called snow then, i have never made a hailball. Remember this is still Phoenix...........
Graupel, ha****, Hamlet, omlette... We invent more weather conditions than any other place I'm aware of!
a friend of mine told me about hotrods on vale, you can google it, its outside tucson, its a restaurant that has a body resto shop in the middle of it. i saw pics looks kinda kool. guy restores bikes, cars trucks. foods pretty good, something to see.
I guess it's too late in the season ( or is that too early) to go "tubin" in the Salt River. I have skied on the strip and on Havasu in March, (in a wet suit).
I wish I would have snapped some Photos of the 57 covered in "snow" today..., Heres another link I use this one a lot too.... http://www.desertcruisers.com/index.php?page=state&stateid=AZ
