olds generator mounts

  1. how about some pics of mounts, factory or home made. looking for p***enger side ideas.

    I Used a stock ex mount bolted to this mount plate....sorry best pic I took at the time.

    Ignition is a Mallory mini mag that I converted to be used with an MSD box.

    Modern ign with old school look.. :)

    I fabbed up some ugly mounts for the 303 and the 371

    but plan to do the 324 like Tony's
    using a left over plate from a Belond header kit and stock bracket

  9. thanks for all the help. i did start on a piece last week. any idea what this offset brkt. is for. It does bolt to my Edmunds intake.

    Mounts the generator farther to the left atop the intake manifold so it clears the front carb on the Edmunds.

    the brackets look the same or very similar to me.

    or are you refering to the adapter plate?

    I like that adapter plate Tony made, I will have to do something similar when I mount the generator on my Olds. It is a 64 394 and those had an alternator, so the early generator bracket I have won't fit the bolt pattern of the heads. I like the way he did his and will probably copy it.
