Just looking at getting one of these Zips riser's and did a Google search as to who makes the riser and can't seem to find anything. Any body know who makes this riser?
Vintage Air also makes an aluminum water pump riser that uses the 6 cylinder Chevy water pump and has built in brackets for ac compressor and alternator.
Dealers for Zips comes up on a Google search but not the company it self I wanted to ask them a question about another project I have.
Go here for a online copy of the ZIPS instructions. http://www.southernrods.com/instructions/zip-water-pump-riser-install.pdf It lists the phone number as 412-372-4411 That is in Pennsylvania
Ok, I had a Zips in my 35-5 window with heat and air with a heater control valve and never had a problem with over heating. On my 32 roadster with it blocked off at the pump, no overheating problems and now with my 35 pickup with a heater it was running cool until I closed the heater control valve.........why this this one and not the other two
"I am concerned about the bypass hose... What does this bypass do? Do you HAVE to run it? Anyone NOT run it??" Back to the top. What are your experiences with blocking off the bypass?
Zip builds the pump riser for Vintage Air. It was a redesign of his currently marketed pump. Redesigned just for Vintage Air.
what fitting did you guys use for between 6 & 8 for the heater hose? anybody have pics of how you ran it, and i would love a pic of an AC compressor mounted on it.. I have mine on the car, but not fully plumbed yet and always looking for good ideas..
