Questions on the Ch***i Engineering front I-Beam for a ford any one out there doing a build with one of these want to know the good the bad and the evil on this. Would you run one or stick with Pete & Jakes front for a model a build Thanks.

  2. it's forged and it's a great axle , but why are you thinking of switching?

  3. There has been some information on the ch***is engineering front end in the last month on here maybe a search?

I have not used one, the Pete and jakes or Bell axle is cast. I have used them on cars that I have built for other people and would probably use on again though if that is any help. For the most part as a cast axle goes they are a good axle.

Like I said I don't have iany first hand knowlege of the ch***is engineering axle but lost of the fellas do have good info on them one of them will sure engugh chime in.

A little advice if you decide to go with a bell buy them directly from Slover and not from a seperate vender.

Sere someone chimed in even before I was done typing. 36, thanks man.

  4. I love my Ch***is Engineering axle. Machining is perfect and it's damned good looking.

    I've got a C.E. FORGED axle and I wouldn't want anyone else's, especially a cast axle.

They are both very good axles. I've used a bunch of each on customer's ch***is, but I would go for the forged C.E. product.

That said, I wont use anything other than a real FORD dropped axle in mine. That's what all the cool guys use.

This has to be just about the most repeated thread on here...
