I have my 48 plymouth club coupe. Major project...Lot parts cool car about 6k invested. As always, changed mind from one thing to another. Thoughts are to build a drag/street car. a guy want to trade his project for mine.. worth less but cooler. He has a 32 glass body with a unknown ford style frame (looks ruff). body has been chopped, unknown make, front axle included. looks like a project gone ary. From pics, Body may be warped? Fixable? Reading up on glass bodies and it will be alot of work to make doors fit. Good deal or keep on trucking?
Might as well just keep slogging along with the Plymouth. I don,t think a yellow fibreglass project with lots of work is cooler.
Boils down to what you want when it is done. A fiberglass bodied car from 2013 or a real steel 1948. Both look like just as much work and money. I'd choose the real '48
I dig the plymouth...but I'm partail! I want a model A or a deuce some day and I could live with the fiberglass but that thing sounds like a basket case! What do you have left instore for the P15? Sent from my DROID device using the TJJ mobile app
looked at the pic a little closer... body looks to have been molded chopped, not chopped after the fact. doesn't look warped or messed up in the pic. looks like the door is open a crack. frame looks like the worst part. still probably alot of time and work to get it together.
I'd rather have a glass 32 than a 48 Plymouth, it depends on how much work you are willing to put into what looks like one of those inexpensive, unwooded, unbraced bodies. Both it and yours look like huge projects.
if the body is not warped trade ---you lack enthusiasm for the plymouth that is why it will never be built...
I think the coupe's door is open a crack mounted suicide style and that is making it looked warp. If it is straight, i would very well be tempted to trade, if it is warped, i would pass.
The 32 is nice but I would rather be different with the 48 steel five window.... that's a nice steel coupe.... but of course it's up to you....
Atlanta craigslist, couple months ago a buddy got never used one from Valdosta. Couple weeks later could have found one in N Georgia.
