I was doing a little bit of research on my wife's ancestors and found out that her Great Great Great Grandfather had bought the first Pierce Arrow in Texas. He took his family on a cross country trip in it and his daughter wrote a journal along the way. And also all the trips they had taken in it. The journal was just sold at an auction this past November. I'm waiting on a call back from someone at the auction company. Trying to get info on that journal. Man it would be great if that car was still around.

I think I read that it was about $125,000 in todays money. I'll try and find a clearer picture to read what it says.

Well I talked the auction house and the journal was sold to a guy who is a huge collector of Texas history. He said good luck getting it back. The guy comes in every other month or so to buy items. He said he would ask next time he is in to see if he would sell it back to the family.
