Can't sell it, 1934 Ford 1 ton? ch***is, besides the radiator and flatty what else could be used for a Hotrod before I cut it up? Seems the front and rear bones are kinda ***y anyone using them? Seems the frame would be an overkill for most builds also. Is the axle the same as a p***.? Thanks!

Somebody ought to buy it for a wild truck, camper or motorhome conversion. Have you tried advertising on antique car and truck sites and of course Ebay? You should be able to get a lot more than s**** value and save the cost of cutting it up.

.. but if its not your cup of tea then id scavenge the leafs front and rear and be done with it. even if you have to sell the parts .. theres probably someone out there who can see the value in them.

The wheels are worth a few bucks if they're in good shape. Later model big trucks had Widow Maker two piece rims that no one will work on. The ones on that truck look like the snap ring type. Truck tire places still work on that type of wheel. The bolt pattern was used up through the late '50s and beyond.

You should advertise it on an antique trucks site. Guys in Europe who are into old trucks would pay big money if I could offer them something like that in the pictures.

A shame to cut it up and not be able salvage anything....

  14. Go to www.fordbarn.com (affiliate of this site) and list it on the Early V8 swap page. There are some early V8 truck guys there who may want it all or part.

Put up some pics of the potentially useful parts...not just a long shot of the ch***is! ;)

  16. Yeah, for a for a flying fanatic it's pretty hard to fathom "The horror" at first. That is until you talk to the owner/builder of it. What you see was all that he got, an absolutely gutted fuselage minus mainplanes, all interior with the complete empennage and rear fuselage sheered off just aft of the main spar).
It had been sitting on it's belly for many years and was beaten all to hell. He saved it from a local Rubbish Tip where it was about to be bulldozed into a land fill.
It is kinda' cool in person, you don't get the same 'effect' from it in a photo.

The whole ch***is probably isn't interesting to anyone except the guys who are into big trucks but the first ten feet of the frame might give a guy with just a cab a solid low buck frame to build an inexpensive little pickup on.

I was originally going to build my boat tail roadster on the front half of a truck ch***is until I figured out that the frame was twisted more than my skills and equipment on hand could straighten out.

I'd still follow the suggestion of posting it on Ford barn at least for long enough for guys who might be interested to see it. All too often guys get old trucks with frames that are bent, twisted, have shoddy repairs on cracks or have a bunch of stuff scabbed onto them and need a new frame to restore a truck right.

My understanding is the front axle is bigger then the car/ small truck stuff, spindles won't take any small hubs.
I had a nice 32 frame like yours I hated to cut up, advrtised it on Ford Barn and sold it to a guy in California. He had a big 32 1 1/2 ton 32 mail truck panel body without a frame. Didn't get much money for it but at least it went to a good home.

I just read your listing the cl***ifieds. You stated that you bought the truck from a guy in Wisconsin. If it would have been close by I'd have made you an offer on the parts you didn't want and saved you the h***le of hauling the entire thing back to WA state.

Oh well, it's too far away now. Hopefully someone will want it. The engine should go pretty quick.

I'd get a junk cowl, shorten the frame up, and make a doodlebug tractor out of it. Put a blade on the front of it and you'd have the coolest snow pusher in the neighborhood.

The frame has more value for something you all have over looked. If you want to register a car you need a set of NUMBERS. They are legal, you can get a registration and you can modify the frame to what ever you want.
