I happen to know for a fact that you know what you are doing... Cant wait to see what you are going to do with this one.
You blasted it before welding? Nice clean sheetmetal? Maybe you do know what you are doing, time will tell. Bob
Always bare metal! Can't come into my shop unless the're nakid! Actually I was just out in the shop figuring out how I'm going to tarp off an area to blast it while it's apart. I have to blast and epoxy the inside of the quarters and wheel houses on the T bird I'm working on, so might as well do both at once.
I always loved those trucks and wondered what they would look like Sectioned a little, thats the only prorpotion that looks off on them, they seem a little tall..
Spent a little more time on my stude this weekend. Hung the front sheet metal back on the lower half with some other aprons/headlights I had. The first pic is a photo shop that chrisbcritter did. The second is the front end loosely setting together with the top grille bar removed. What do you think? I'm favoring the 3 bar grille myself.
that fresh from the 'blaster metal will rust in a minute, at least up here in the Northwest, get some primer on it quick or it will grow a red beard
The aprons have been hanging in the shop for years. The cab has a very light coat of 1791. But most of it will get blasted at least one more time. The weld areas again when the metal work is finished.
