I have a 63 belair with a 230 and a three speed. I does not start. It will start fine if I jump the solenoid. I replaced the ignition switch. My buddy had the same problem and it fixed it on his 63. The po was not so bright. The starter looks new. Where should I start? I have to have the key on to start in with the jumper so the switch is doing something. I looked at the wiring diagram and I don't see anything wrong. Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
Problem solved. Car came without a battery, so I was unaware of a wire from the battery to the horn relay. It is supposed to be red, it is black. Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
I think the positive battery cable has been replaced with one that has no separate lead. The wiring diagram shows it should be red, but it is black. I need to replace it again, though, as it is not quite long enough to sit in its proper place. I will get one with a lead on it. Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
